Gamesys Casinos Every Sister Site and Who Runs Them
Jackpotjoy, Virgin Games, Monopoly Casino, Double Bubble Bingo, Rainbow Riches Casino and Bally Casino look like six separate businesses. They aren’t. All six run on one UK licence held by Gamesys Operations Limited, account 38905. Gamesys now sits inside Bally’s Intralot, the Athens-listed group that bought Bally’s international online business in October 2025.
For you, that means one company holds your money, checks your ID and handles your complaints on every site. If you self-exclude on one Gamesys site, your accounts on the others close too. Deposit limits and cool-off periods don’t carry over, though. Our quick verdict is simple. These are long-running, fully licensed sites with a £6 million regulatory penalty on record from 2023, so set your limits on every account you open.
Who runs the Gamesys casinos?
Gamesys has changed hands several times since it started. Here’s the short version, with dates.
- 2001. Gamesys is founded in London and goes on to run Jackpotjoy.
- 2015. Gamesys sells the Jackpotjoy brands to Intertain for £430 million but keeps running them.
- 26 September 2019. Intertain’s successor, JPJ Group plc, buys the Gamesys business, including Virgin Games and Monopoly Casino. It renames itself Gamesys Group plc the same day.
- 4 October 2021. US casino company Bally’s Corporation completes its takeover of Gamesys Group.
- October 2025. Athens-listed Intralot buys Bally’s International Interactive business, which includes Gamesys, for €2.7 billion. The combined company trades as Bally’s Intralot, and Bally’s Corporation owns about 58% of it.
That’s why every Gamesys site now carries a Bally’s Intralot copyright line in its footer.
The licensee is Gamesys Operations Limited, a Gibraltar company (number 103854) based at Waterport Place. Its remote bingo and casino licences have been active since 1 November 2014. It added real-event betting in May 2016 and virtual-event betting in August 2024. You can check all of this on the Gambling Commission register entry for account 38905.
The register also records one regulatory action. In November 2023 the Commission fined Gamesys Operations Limited £6,071,292 and issued a warning over anti-money laundering and customer-interaction failings between November 2021 and July 2022. It found no evidence of criminal money in the accounts it reviewed. If a Gamesys site’s checks ever feel wrong to you, raise it in writing and keep a copy.
How do the Gamesys sites compare at a glance?
All six brands below appear as domains on the Gamesys register entry. Three are marked active and three are marked white label. White label here means Gamesys runs the site under its own licence while the brand name is licensed from another company. The last column shows one checked fact that sets each brand apart.
| Brand | Type | Register status | What sets it apart |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bally Casino | Sportsbook and casino | Listed under account 38905 (ballycasino.co.uk, active) | Now trades as Bally Bet and partners Nottingham Forest FC |
| Double Bubble Bingo | Bingo and slots | Listed under account 38905 (doublebubblebingo.com, active) | Named after the Double Bubble slot, a Roxor Gaming trade mark |
| Jackpotjoy | Bingo and casino | Listed under account 38905 (jackpotjoy.com, active) | Says it has been online since 2002 |
| Monopoly Casino | Casino with sports betting | Listed under account 38905 (monopolycasino.com, white label) | Uses MONOPOLY names under Hasbro trade marks |
| Rainbow Riches Casino | Slots and casino | Listed under account 38905 (eight Rainbow Riches and Rainbow Slots domains, white label) | Brand owned by Barcrest Group Limited |
| Virgin Games | Slots and casino | Listed under account 38905 (virgingames.com, white label) | Virgin name used under licence from Virgin Enterprises |
What does each Gamesys casino offer?
The six sites share a back office, so many games overlap. The differences are in branding, the welcome offer you can pick and whether bingo or sport comes first. Offers below are what we read on each site at the time of checking (October 2026). They change often, so read the rules page before you deposit.
Bally Casino
The ballycasino.co.uk address now opens as Bally Bet. Its menu leads with sports betting, and the casino sits second. The site calls itself the official betting and gaming partner of Nottingham Forest FC. New players could choose free sports bets or 30 free spins on Eye of Horus Legacy of Gold. The rules say each offer isn’t valid with other welcome offers. So decide whether you’ll mainly bet or spin before you make your first deposit. Our Bally Casino sister sites guide compares it with the other five brands.
Double Bubble Bingo
Double Bubble Bingo takes its name from the Double Bubble slot, which is a Roxor Gaming trade mark. The lobby mixes bingo rooms with a run of Double Bubble slots and scratchcards. New players could pick free bingo tickets or 30 free spins on Double Bubble Cash Wall, each for a £10 deposit and £10 stake. Choose the one that matches how you play. Free bingo tickets won’t help much if you mostly spin slots. See our Double Bubble Bingo sister sites guide for the full picture.
Jackpotjoy
Jackpotjoy says it’s been running online since 2002. It’s bingo-led, with 75-ball and 90-ball rooms, and adds slots, live casino and a sports tab. The slots welcome offer was 100 free spins on Fishin Frenzy The Big Catch 2. Its rules say those spins carry no wagering requirements. Jackpotjoy also runs Joy Points, its own loyalty scheme. Points don’t move between Gamesys sites, so spreading your play thins out what you earn. Our Jackpotjoy sister sites guide goes into more detail.
Monopoly Casino
Monopoly Casino uses the MONOPOLY name and playing pieces under Hasbro’s trade marks. That’s why its lobby carries branded titles such as MONOPOLY Live and MONOPOLY Big Baller. It also runs a sportsbook, so you’ll see a free bets welcome option beside the free spins one. Some MONOPOLY slots also appear at Virgin Games. So you don’t need this account just to reach the theme. The free bets come as tokens that expire after 30 days, so only pick them if you’ll actually bet. Read our Monopoly Casino sister sites guide before you choose.
Rainbow Riches Casino
Rainbow Riches Casino is built around one slot series. The brand belongs to Barcrest Group Limited, and the lobby leads with Rainbow Riches games from Light and Wonder. The site says it launched in 2019. It also has bingo games and live tables. The register lists eight Rainbow Riches and Rainbow Slots addresses as white-label domains on account 38905. Check the web address before you log in, so you know you’re on a listed domain. Our Rainbow Riches sister sites guide covers the brand in depth.
Virgin Games
Virgin Games uses the Virgin name under licence from Virgin Enterprises Limited. It’s slots and casino first, with Slingo and a few bingo games in the lobby. The welcome offer was 100 free spins on a Game of Thrones slot at 10p a spin. It’s also the one Gamesys site here without a sports tab in its menu. Virgin Games runs invite-only weekly reward wheels that pay out at set wagering levels. Treat those as a prompt to check your spending, not to raise it. Our Virgin Games sister sites guide has more.
What carries over between these sites?
Each brand gives you a separate account. The terms allow one account per person per site. They also say several accounts at the same address, email or IP address can be treated as duplicates. If you share a home with another player, contact support before you both join the same brand.
- Gamesys Operations Limited holds your balance on every site. It keeps player money in a separate client account, which the Commission rates as medium protection.
- Self-exclusion closes your accounts on all six sites, according to Gamesys’s help pages.
- Deposit limits and cool-off periods only apply to the account you set them on. Set them again on each site you use.
- For complaints, use the site’s own process first. If that doesn’t settle it, Gamesys names eCOGRA as its independent dispute service.
- Welcome offers are per site. Each set of rules says you can take part once and can’t combine welcome offers. We didn’t find a group-wide one-per-household clause.
- Some progressive jackpots are pooled across Gamesys sites and outside partners.
Which Gamesys casino suits you?
The right pick depends on what you actually play. These conditional picks are based on how each site presents itself.
- If you mainly play bingo, Jackpotjoy and Double Bubble Bingo both put bingo rooms first.
- If you want sports bets and slots under one login, Bally Casino and Monopoly Casino both run sportsbooks.
- If you follow one slot series, Rainbow Riches Casino keeps it in one lobby.
- If you want a slots-first casino with no sports tab, Virgin Games fits that brief.
You don’t need more than one of these accounts to reach most of the same games. One account is also easier to keep within your limits. You can see how we judge licensing, terms and safer gambling tools on our how we rate page.
Are there alternatives outside the Gamesys network?
If you want a different operator, these groups run on separate licences, with their own limits and complaints routes.
- Red Rock Managed Services runs Sun Bingo, Fabulous Bingo and The Sun Vegas on Playtech software. Gamesys ran Sun Bingo until Playtech took it over in 2016.
- Rank Group owns Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor, which also run physical bingo clubs and casinos.
- Entain runs Gala Bingo and Foxy Bingo under its LC International licence.
Each of these groups runs its own self-exclusion, so GAMSTOP is the way to block them all together. You can compare every group we cover on our casino networks hub.
What safer gambling help can you use?
Every Gamesys site has the tools below. Set them up before you play, not after a bad session.
- Deposit limits and cool-off periods, set separately on each account.
- Self-exclusion for six months to five years, which closes your accounts across all six sites.
- GAMSTOP, which blocks you from every UK-licensed gambling site at once.
If gambling is causing you problems, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. You can also get free support from GamCare, NHS gambling support or Gambling Therapy.
Frequently asked questions
Short answers about Gamesys Casinos. Something missing or out of date?
Tell usHow many sister sites does Gamesys run in the UK?
Six brands appear on the Gamesys Operations Limited register entry, account 38905. They are Bally Casino, Double Bubble Bingo, Jackpotjoy, Monopoly Casino, Rainbow Riches Casino and Virgin Games. A seventh domain, megawayscasino.com, is marked inactive on the Gamesys entry, so it's no longer a Gamesys sister site.
Who owns Gamesys now?
Gamesys is part of Bally's Intralot, an Athens-listed company. Intralot bought Bally's International Interactive business, which includes Gamesys, in October 2025 for 2.7 billion euros. Bally's Corporation, the US casino group that bought Gamesys in 2021, now owns about 58% of Bally's Intralot.
Is Gamesys licensed in the UK?
Yes. Gamesys Operations Limited holds active remote bingo, casino and betting licences from the Gambling Commission under account 38905. Its bingo and casino licences date from November 2014. The register also shows a £6,071,292 penalty and warning issued in November 2023 for anti-money laundering and customer-interaction failings.
Can you claim a welcome bonus at more than one Gamesys casino?
Each site's welcome rules apply to new members of that site, and we didn't find a group-wide one-per-household clause. You can't combine welcome offers on one site, though. The terms also treat several accounts at the same address or IP address on one site as possible duplicates, so check with support first.
Does self-excluding from Jackpotjoy block the other Gamesys sites?
Yes. Gamesys says self-exclusion closes any other accounts you hold across its websites, including Monopoly Casino, Virgin Games, Double Bubble Bingo, Rainbow Riches Casino and Bally Casino. Deposit limits and cool-off periods are different. They only apply to the account you set them on.
Where can you take a complaint about a Gamesys site?
Start with the site's own complaints process through customer support. If you're in Great Britain and the issue isn't resolved, Gamesys names eCOGRA as its independent dispute resolution service. You can contact eCOGRA through its online form once the operator's process has finished.
