Unibet and 32Red look like rival brands, but one company runs both. Platinum Gaming Limited holds Gambling Commission account 45322 and lists Unibet, 32Red and Bingo.com as its trading names. It’s part of FDJ United, the French group that bought Kindred in October 2024.

For you, that means one set of terms, one complaints route and one bonus policy across these sites. It also means one regulatory record, and that record includes a £10m penalty in 2025. Our verdict is that these sites suit you if you want sport, casino and bingo from one large group. Set your limits first, and read the record below before you sign up.

Platinum Gaming Casinos: Unibet, 32Red and Who Runs Them

Who runs the Platinum Gaming casinos?

Platinum Gaming Limited is a Gibraltar company, number 114100. Its Gambling Commission register entry, account 45322, gives its head office as Kindred House, 17 Hartfield Road, London. It has held remote casino, bingo, betting and pool betting licences since 12 July 2016. All of them were active when we checked in October 2026.

The ownership above it has changed several times. Here’s how it got where it is now.

  • Unibet has traded since 1997. Kindred Group was called Unibet Group plc before it changed its name.
  • Kindred completed its £175.6m purchase of 32Red on 7 June 2017. 32Red was founded in 2002.
  • La Française des Jeux (FDJ) completed its takeover of Kindred in October 2024, in a deal worth about €2.45bn.
  • FDJ renamed itself FDJ United on 6 March 2025.
  • 32Red Limited surrendered its own UK licence, account 39430, on 12 March 2025. The 32red.com domain now sits under Platinum Gaming’s account.

In April 2026 iGB reported that FDJ had ruled out a UK exit for Unibet. In July 2026, though, FDJ United said it was reviewing its online business and might leave some markets or sell parts of it. If a brand you use is sold or closed, withdraw your balance promptly and keep copies of your transaction history.

How do Unibet and 32Red compare at a glance?

The table covers both Platinum Gaming brands we’ve written guides for. Register status shows the domains listed under account 45322 in October 2026. The last column gives one fact we checked, so you can see how the two differ before you join either.

What does each Platinum Gaming casino offer?

32Red

32Red has traded since 2002 and presents itself mainly as a casino, though its site also has sport and poker sections. Its homepage says it offers over 2,000 games, including slots, live tables, jackpots and Slingo. At the time of checking (October 2026), its welcome offer was free spins after a £30 qualifying stake on slots, with 10x wagering on spin winnings. That’s at the legal cap, not under it. The brand moved to Platinum Gaming after its old licensee surrendered its licence in March 2025. If you opened your account before then, check the terms you’ve agreed to since. Our 32Red sister sites guide lists similar casinos.

Unibet

Unibet covers more ground than 32Red. Its UK site has sport, racing, casino, live casino, bingo and poker sections. At the time of checking (October 2026), its casino welcome offer was free spins after a £30 stake on slots, with 10x wagering. A separate sports offer gave free bets. Under UK rules since January 2026, one offer can’t mix sport and casino, so you’ll see two separate deals. Unibet was the site named in both Gambling Commission penalties against Platinum Gaming. Our Unibet sister sites guide sets out the alternatives.

Platinum Gaming’s terms also list Bingo.com as a trading name. The register shows uk.bingo.com as a white label domain under account 45322, and the Commission’s 2025 notice said Platinum operates it.

What has the Gambling Commission found against Platinum Gaming?

Platinum Gaming has faced two penalties in under three years. In March 2023 it agreed to pay £2,937,599, while 32Red Limited paid £4,195,655 in the same case. The Commission found that customers blocked or self-excluded at 32Red could still register with Platinum Gaming.

In September 2025 the Commission decided on a £10m penalty, a warning and an extra licence condition. It found anti-money laundering and customer interaction failings between January 2023 and May 2024. One customer lost £5,000 within 24 hours of registering, and the system didn’t flag them as at risk. Platinum must now complete an independent audit. You don’t have to rely on the operator to spot harm, so set your own deposit and loss limits when you register.

What carries over between these sites?

Because one company holds the licence, the rules are shared across the brands. Here’s what that means for you.

  • The terms let you open one account with each brand. Open more than one on the same brand and the extras count as duplicate accounts.
  • You can’t join if any company in the group has restricted or closed an account of yours.
  • Complaints go to customer support first. If they’re not resolved within eight weeks, you can take the dispute to eCOGRA free of charge.
  • Your balance is held at the Commission’s medium protection level, according to the terms.
  • You can’t open an account while you’re self-excluded with the operator or through GAMSTOP. If you self-exclude, ask support to confirm it covers Unibet, 32Red and Bingo.com together.

Bonuses are shared too. The promotional terms say offers are limited to no more than one bonus per user, IP address, device, family or residential address. In practice, if someone in your home has already claimed an offer at one brand, don’t expect a second at another.

Which Platinum Gaming casino suits you?

The two brands share an owner, rules and a regulatory record, so choose on the products you’ll use.

  • If you bet on sport or racing as well as playing casino games, Unibet covers both on one site.
  • If you mainly play slots and live tables, 32Red puts its casino first.
  • If you play bingo, Unibet has a bingo lobby, and Bingo.com runs on the same licence.

If the 2023 and 2025 penalties put you off, that’s a reasonable call. Our rating method explains how we weigh regulatory records, and the alternatives below run under different companies.

Are there alternatives outside the Platinum Gaming network?

Moving from Unibet to 32Red keeps you with the same licensee and the same complaints process. A different group gives you a fresh operator.

Broadway Gaming focuses on bingo and slots across two licences, accounts 58267 and 39075. Neither account showed a current regulatory action when we checked in October 2026. It suits you if bingo is your main game. Rank Group owned Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casinos when it bought Stride Gaming in 2019. Look there if you want a casino or bingo brand from a separate UK group. You can compare every group on our casino networks hub.

How can you stay in control at Unibet and 32Red?

Both sites have to offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. Set a deposit limit when you register, not after a bad week. If you want a break from all UK licensed gambling at once, sign up with GAMSTOP.
